low budget marketing

 As our film opening sequence will be a low budget film we need to know methods that other small film companies have marketed films in the past even when they have small budgets. 


This is now made possible through marketing on social media. 


$40 billion dollars a year are spent on marketing on social media. It is a way that everyone can see your work as it is estimated 83.39% of the population have access to some sort of social media with kids as young as 6 now having access.


This means that a lot of people can see one post by a heavily followed account. Warner brothers have started to do this as well by getting their actors to promote the film. 


If we take tank 432 for example then we know that they used the influencer Alistair bruce to promote their films. This was the exact reason that the film was not well received. As tank 432 is a physiological horror using a social media influencer that specialises in war and military it made it very confusing for the audience.


Tank 432 was a success however it was not something that the fans of Alastair bruce would want to watch as they were mislead into believing that this film was going to be a action film about war. 


In conclusion we need to make sure if we were to market this film that we use social media but we must make sure that all of the influencers are influencers in the niche that the film is in and not some random person with a lot of followers
