evaluation of shoot
On the night before our shoot we all had a Group FaceTime session and decided on who needed to bring what in. I brought in some sellotape. On the morning of the shoot I woke up with excitement and was sure that we were going to do a great job. So I packed a bag went in the car and arrived at school bright and early. When we arrived on set after all of the arrangements with the busses were changed I felt like we were quite well prepared. The main things that we needed to do before filming was to make the boarding house look more like an actual house so remove any fire exit signs and big juice cartons. It was a lovely looking set at Ewhurst place. The location was good with the driveway and the fire exit signs came off easily so it looked like a big house. We decided the roles pretty evenly so Chris was in charge of all of the props and lighting, I was in charge of the sound and making sure the cast knew what they were doing, Daria was in charge of the camera and Anna was in charge of directing. All in all I think our whole group did exceptionally well. I thought that it was going to be more difficult than it was. I feel like the work with the sound I did quite well as we recorded just sounds at points and adjusted the input gain on the camera to make sure it wasnt too loud. We had a couple of minor problems with the bus and one member of our cast. This was very easily resolved by making sure that everyone was happy and knew what they were doing and when to do it. I think the shoot went really well and there weren't any bits that I wish went better. I am most looking forward to seeing the quick cuts in the editing stage. I feel we worked well as a team and we were very productive and no one slacked off. In the next shoot I would like to use different members of cast and to make sure that they are known to the media department for being good actors yet easy to work with.
