 My Target Audience 

People who like horror gore. mostly men 15-45. However from the opening sequence is likely to attract people from all backgrounds and have different tastes. Often people enjoy watching snobby rich people getting hurt. This is why we have had such a long introduction before she is hurt. This means that we get an in-site other personality and make the audience believe that she deserved what was coming to her.

Similar films 

The final Destination franchise have a similar target audience and use similar camera shots. We took a real inspiration from final destination and did extreme close ups to build suspense and used mise en scene to create a deep character background which is also demonstraighted in final destination. This means that the audience is either going to side with the person dying or is going to be shocked that this has happened.

Unfriended (2014) There is a scene where Ken has his hand blended. We took inspiration from the idea of using a useful house hold blender to hurt/kill a character. A blender is a very dangerous item however when used correctly it is incredibly useful. Not every one will blend their hand as they will be careful. however the rich may be very snobby and think that they are made better than to be careful so blending a hand seems like something plausible.

At the point where there lady has her hand in the blender and glances over at her phone. This creates tension that people in the horror niche.

The build up of tension will appeal more to people in the horror industry as it will make them feel uneasy as we are watching the opening
