sound recording

 sound recording is fairly simple to do. There are a small list of steps to make sure the audio is recorded without getting clipped. The main issue with audio is the distortion from being held to close. On the camera there is a gain button you must check that there is no orange or red on the gain bar along the bottom. If you record like this the audio file will clip and sound very unclear. a good rang is about -3 to -6 db on the gain. 

When constructing the microphone make sure that you put the sleeve over it if you are recording outside and place the handle on the microphone for ease when filming. 

Plug the female side of the xlr cable into the microphone and the male end on input 1 on the camera. This will automatically record with the audio from the microphone.
