Narrative 

The narrative will be about a sniper in the war in Afghanistan there is an enigma code of how he is going to feel after he has shot and killed a child. This could show that there may be a sense of post traumatic stress disorder. This is very common amongst war veterans. We also know that this man who is like the snipers side kick will get some karma in the future as he celebrated someone dying 

We can also tell that the film will be very violent and action is its genre just by watching the way those people were killed in the opening scene.

Audience

The target audience for this film throughout the opening scene will definitely be teenagers and adults. It is more likely to appeal to men as it is a violent war action film. It may also be attractive to people interested in modern history.

People will be engaged through this opening because of there is a lot of violence and 2 people die in the first 3 minutes. This shows that it will be a gripping film throughout and action filled.

genre 

This film is definitely an action film however one of its subgenres are war films. This is because of it is set in an afgahnistanian war zone with terrorists against the American soldiers. This shows that it is both a war film and an action movie. 

These genres are shown through the large use of weapons displayed so this shows it must be a war setting and due to the violence it must also be action too. This is very clear to see as most of the scene is looking through the scope of a gun.

when the opening credits role we see the Warner brothers logo followed by a village roadshow pictures logo. This shows that there is a massive amount of money being put. behind this film because of Warner brothers is such a large conglomerate. This shows that already in our heads we know that this film is going to be an excellent movie.

The use of the diagetic sound over the top of the opening credits uses this to set a sound version of an establishing shot so we get to know our surroundings.
