The use of mise en scene throughout the opening clip shows what kind of personality the man has. We know the because of his speedo swimming shorts he is not a shy man and is quite confident. This could mean that he is in charge of a big company or something as you need confidence to run a business or he might just be comfortable with his body and enjoys relaxing. The use of camera shots shows things from his point of view. As the man is lying on the sun bed we are looking up at the sky through sunglasses a POV shot. This is used to show us how relaxed he is. Not everyone is able to relax like this so it shows he is quite a comfortable person.

The use of the character of the boy is to lighten the mood and to show that this film will be a comedy movie not about some fat man on a sunbed. This makes us believe that not only the man is a self loving person that he is also very rich. Because if the boy is doing work for him this shows that the boy is not as wealthy as the man and is working for him to earn money.
